It's a bit of an oddball event this one. More of an Autotest than a rally but where most Autotests take place on car-parks this one's on a proper circuit and they even use part of the RallyCross track.

As usual POTN was well represented including a guest appearance by the Beastie Boys complete with huge medallion...they know who they are ;)

Right, enough babble, on with the show..

1. It was a grey, cold and fairly windy day. However the cars made it worth getting out of bed....This one's an MGC GT.

2. These 2 chaps in the MK1 Sprite were having a good old natter..

3. Isn't it strange how cars you ignored years ago suddenly become interesting...A rather nice Hillman (or Chrysler if you really insist) Avenger...

4. Classic Porsche 911 throwing up a bit of mud..

5. Lovely old Alfa Romeo going off-road

6. Some of the crews driving soft-tops decided the wanted fresh air, however the crew of this Triumph TR3 had more sense.

7.It's not very often you see an Austin A40 these days and it's even rarer to see one off-road !

8. And finally, to keep Glenn happy, a Lotus Sunbeam!

As per usual it was a 1DMK2N / Sigma 120-300 and 1.4x TC occasion.

Comments, suggestions, general twaddle and pointless drivel are welcome as always.

Thanks for looking :)

Nice shots Geoff, good to see the old cars looked after with TLC, the A 40 brings back memories, first car I owned, showing my age :(

I thought this was an enjoyable little event and was nice to be able to go where you wanted to take photos.

Nice photos Geoff, I just need to decide which ones I need to post and you have raised the bar :)

PS Good luck with the new job

Nice selection Geoff, there was a great variety of motors out for the day but some did seem to be just out there for the fun factor.

Cheers

A good selection Geoff.

I like the Alfa image, the shallow dof and the spray towards the rear makes it an interesting shot.

Yo Yo Geoff! One of the Beastie Boys here LOL!

Very nice selection. That MGC was just immaculate. The A40 was nice to see out as well.

Simon.
