Newbie Question

I'm planning to buy a flash for my cameras. I have a EOS Rebel Ti and a Canon G6. I've read the info/reviews for 220ex and 420ex and I still can't decide which one I should get. What are the pros/cons? Any suggestions?

the 220 isn't much more powerful or versatile than most built-in /pop-up flashes.

I have the 420ex. Love it so far. Gets good shooting range.
