Ice in water

Could someone give me some insight on how I could recreate this shot?

I know it's close up, with an ice cube being dropped.. but I'm more concerned with lighting and the backdrop? Looks like it was done in a large glass cup!

it was probably done in a fish tank. I'm also waiting for ideas about lighting.

you might want to ask randomgrafix. he did a series entitled "droplets: presented in technicolour" (much like yours) a few days back. he might have some ideas with regards to your question.
