Hi All

Just to say that following my other thread about 'name' choices I currently have have a holding page for engramphoto.com with the strapline "images for a photographic memory".

Having said that I realised that after choosing the name(s) - I am normally so detailed in my research - the the title engramphoto though not/never previously registered does if you currently do a Google Images search lead to a sub gallery of a Russian party pictures website and the "engram" appears to be related to a company called engramweb.com who developed that site.

On the face of it not an issue & obviously I hope it will not be one once I get my site properly setup.

:D

You might pick up some Scientology websurfers while you are at it.

Ah, yes there is another usage of the word engram when applied to memory but my intention is to 'offer' it in its purest form as refered to in my original post about name choices. Not painfull experiences but pictures that (should/could) evoke pleasant memories of places/things/subjects seen or wishing to be seen.

Dictionery definition - "A physical alteration thought to occur in living neural tissue in response to stimuli, posited as an explanation for memory" or "a postulated biochemical change (presumably in neural tissue) that represents a memory".

As I perceive it, images (things seen & photographed) make memories and seeing such images evoke the memories 'by return', hence the strapline.

:)

PS I would surmise the Scientologists would be more concerned about the party site that comes up first & foremost in Google Images (for now)?

Hey, I'm with you on this one. It was just the first thing that came to mind when I heard the word.
