The pics on the LCD are great, but when I download them to my computer they get dark. It is not my computer screen either as I have check the images on several computers.[/url]

I had the same problem, but when I reset my monitor to the proper brightness, the pics looked GREAT.

I am 100% certain that this is not the problem. What else can it be???

What does the histogram look like? Remember, the LCD on your camera's generally adjusted to work well outdoors in bright sun, so it's going to be set fairly bright.

thanks for the reply. How do I correlate brightness with the histogram?

Reading the histogram is quite easy. You read it by looking at the "peaks" and how they are orientated in the display box.
Dark: peaks to left
Balanced: peaks in middle
Bright: peaks to right
I believe all of the user guides have a section on reading histograms.

I have figured it out. I adjusted my exposure and the pics now come out great.
