Now, now, no need to be nasty....unless it IS a joke.
If it isn't a joke, I would say lift your camera off the ground and/or table before shooting, then we'll see what happens.

They don't really appeal to me, but it's worth a shot trying a different point of view.

I understand and applaud the attempt at "looking with different eyes", but the problem here is not one of POV. The problem is that even with the unique POV there is STILL nothing to look at. The brick building on the left *could* be interesting, as perhaps the streetlights. But they make us such a small part of the image.
Keep with the experimentation as that WILL help you get better photographs. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
