These were taken on Mulholland rd. near The Rockstore in SoCal. When the weather is nice car clubs of 20 or more cruise through.
I mainly shoot the bikes but sometimes I can't resist shooting these awesome machines.

Nice shots. I like the ones like #s 4-6 best where there's no sign.

Sorry, but IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow 8 embedded pics by the OP per thread, so I removed the IMG tags from the last ones. You can always just post a link to them, though.

wow! Nice carrera gt! Love those cars!

I've seen your work posted in a couple sportbike forums!
Strange to find you here too, I've tried going and shooting sportbikes, but I get too tempted to go ride, so I've never had any great shoots.

Looks like Mulholland gets a lot of traffic, I normally shoot the 150 or the 33, so maybe I'll give that a shot :D

It's actually kinda funny when you compare the sportbike pictures, all of them look where there going (which is why you don't see many carnage shots!)

try using TV mode instead of AV (or auto) ;)

I live in a area where lot of sport bikes and cars come and visit...US 129, "The Tail of the Dragon". It looks like several of those guys make the same ignorant move as a lot of riders/drivers here...crossing the double yellow line. They may think they are "taking a good line" when in fact they are putting themselves and others at risk. I've seen the aftermath of that in the form of destroyed machines and severe injuries and even death because of it. It is a pet peeve of mine and many of the regulars around here.

Other than that. What a display of nice cars. A few million dollars worth passed in front of the OP in a short period of time. Only in LA I guess.

try using TV mode instead of AV (or auto) Better, but you'll still have the meter influencing the exposure. Shots #7 & 8 were taken seconds apart at different exposures. Using M allows the same exposure for both shots.
Need an exposure crutch? (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=89123)

It was probably a lambo "club" drive

When I owned my porsche, I would drive with the bmw, ferrari, audi, and vw clubs, so the carrera gt wouldn't throw it off

Nice pics. Lambos are my favorites :) .
Next time try to lower the shutter speeds and do some panning do give them some "speed".
