I just had to share because I am super dee duper happy that I had warmth and sunshine today!!! :D :D
(I know, totally uncalled for thread, but I just get in a blah funk during the winter so any bit of solar happiness I get is a huge deal to me.)
We've had super crazy cold weather... we had a beautiful snow this weekend. 11"!
Today though? 80 degrees and gorgeous! I'm enjoying my short lived reprieve from seasonal yuckiness while I can... it's supposed to snow again tomorrow.
I can't wait for spring!!!!!

Congrats on the sunshine, now don't rub it in about the 80 degrees!
And I used to live where the waving wheat, it sure smells sweet, and the wind comes right behind the rain!

So you totally understand about the wackiness of the weather! I would gladly go back to the land of smog and earthquakes just to have nice weather again.

I lived in OKC about 30 years ago, I remember the weather being pretty nice. Maybe it's changed a bit since then.

Bleh... I know. It sucks!!!!
I lived in OKC about 30 years ago, I remember the weather being pretty nice. Maybe it's changed a bit since then.
I guess compared to Minnesota it would be heaven! I grew up on SoCal though and I am still not used to anything below 50 degrees really. ;)

Seriously. This winter thing is so overrated! The only good thing it does for me is kill off about a 1/3 of the swarms of mosquitos that seem to love me! Yet another problem I never had in SoCal. Not sure I even knew they exsisted til I moved here. :D

And when winter is over we go straight to 102 with 90% humidity, but it's better than 30 with a 40mph wind

What is this "sunshine" you speak of?
Tomorrow night and into Wednesday morning, another 10" of snow are forecasted. That after a cold rain today and tomorrow morning.
Hawaii and the South Pacific sound really tempting right about now.

Interesting.
I live in SE Arizona where it's normally mild and sunny in the winter. Today, we had freezing rain, sleet, and about 2" of snow (a lot for here).
Go figure!

Yep it's been good for the sleds this year, plus we have about 16 inches of ice on the lakes.

It's not so great here....it's been rainy, gloomy and chilly willy for 2months+. However, they say a few days of 60 degree weather at the end of this week. Yipeee... I can't wait.

We've got plenty of ice, but the last significant snow was on Christmas Day so everything is all crunchy and dirty. Yesterday we got about an inch which didn't help much.

We have 10" of snow on the way. I like snow, it's better than looking at brown everything. But, in a couple of weeks I'll be traveling to Texas for 3 1/2 weeks, and looking for 70+!

But in 1 day our snow is dark, dirty and dismal. When it first falls it's beautiful, but that's the extent of it.

Miracle of miracles! We finally had a day of sun here in Milwaukee! Even though it was a high of 18, the sun melted snow on the main streets.
Unfortunately, tomorrow, 2-4" of more snow with a high of 32. Friday? High of 10.

day this time of year with afternoon storms and high humidity and down the beech on the weekends working on my melanomas and bronzed Ausiie image...
But not this year its been raining non stop in Sydney one of the coolest summers i ever remember i am just going to have to go to the solarium if i want keep my chances of cancers developing up to speed LOL...
But seriously its wet and cloudy and its not forecast to get any better in the
city of Sydney any time soon...

And it's sunny again. The calm before the snow I'm sure. Because it was so nice today, I was out re-shoveling and re-locating snow to make room for more. But the sunshine is great!
