With all the snow i have a little trouble finding things to take shots of. But one or two things seem to usualy come up. This was one let me know what you think.:D

I think it needs a stronger focus on one thing. You've got an exposed rock, coiled wire, strung wire & poles, grass, and finally snow which should be the background. Better if only one element was featured against the snow. Also seems flat, maybe a bump in contrast would help.

Very good composition and very interesting scene.

Unfortunately, the highlights have become blocked up. It looks like a complete white-out of the snow above the fence. I can see no trace of detail in that snow.

By making use of the "Shadow/Highlight..." tool in PSCS3, I can see that the highlight detail is in there even though not visible here.

Looks like this scene needs HDR treatment to be able to cover the range of brightness values.

Thanks for the coments guys.I always have problems when snow is in the picture i focused more on getting the wire the way i wanted it.The HDR is a good suggestion I don't have a program that will do it for me though all i have is PS elements.

I really like the composition. I think that it tells a great story as I imagined the barbed wire being used to repair the fence when the snow is gone and then studied the other elements to see how they tied together and tried to imagine the same scene in the spring when everything is green. I even like the snow fading into a high key background as it helps to isolate the subject and draw greater emphasis onto the subject while it quietly disappears into the background as a minor player in this scene.

There is no reason to let that stand in the way. Photomatix is available for free.
