These are some pictures from US f1 race and a MeredesBenz SLR All were taken w/ a G3 superfine large. The only alterations I preformed were to crop the pics and adjust size. I was having trouble getting them posted in th g3 fourm and I believe I people lost interest in the thread.

David,
Nice photos. Particularly like the Renault (Alonso, I think) as you've got movement in the tyres.
Were you a guest in the pit lane to be able to get up close to the McLaren engineers prepping the car? Or was this part of the "access all areas" walkabout?
Cheers,
Chris

I was a guest of Mobil 1 racing. Our seats were to the right of the start line ,but I took a lot of shots from the infield . If you ever have a chance to go to Indy just get general admission and walk the infield plenty of spots for some good shots. The renault driver is Trulli ,but here is a shot of Alonzo.

Not at indianiapolis speedway.. Damn fence :) I go ever year and I've been trying to get a good spot for pictures but they have the double fence up so it is hard. I'm trying to get a HOT PADDOCK PASS for next year so we will see..

This is the first pic of schumy before the crop through the fence . If you walk the track you can find some holes in the fence .

Doesn't look like they have the double fence in place. In indy they have double fences. First the normal high velocity fence to keep the crap in, then the regular fence the keep the drunks out... ;)

Hey, don't be too hard on your photos. I think they're very good. I really like the light and shadow effect, especially in the first photo.
Mine's more of an accident. Considering the number of photos I took, some of them were bound to be okay.
No L glass though. I have the 70-300 DO IS which I'm very happy with. :)

Those are some great shots. You have to love digital so easy to take so many shots. I use a G3 now ,but think I may move up to th G6 or maybe the Drebel for the lens.

Oh definitely go for the D Rebel, David! I wouldn't consider the G6 so much as a move up.
