Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jerry Johnston, and I am 27 years old and from Montgomery, Texas, about an hour from Houston. I'm new to the Texas photo forum and am interested in learning all that I can. A little about myself, I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston/Downtown. I plan on pursuing a Master’s in photojournalism and, if time allows, a Ph.D. in English Literature. I am a photographer who specializes in portraits, weddings, sports, and music photography. If possible, I'm looking for a mentor in the Montgomery/The Woodlands/Spring area. A person that I can sit down and learn more from. I'm also looking for a job either full-time or part-time in photography. If anyone has an opening for an assistant etc. I would be delighted to talk more. I can be reached at yourreflectphoto@aol.com When photographing, I utilize Canon photography equipment such as the Canon EOS 1V and 10 D, 40 D cameras, 50mm 1.4mm, 17-40 mm, 24-70 mm, and 70-200 mm L series lenses, along with a Canon 1.4X Extender and a Canon 550EX flash. I am positive, outgoing, have never met a stranger and greet others with an outstretched hand. I'm a very energetic person I strive to present the public with images that not only tell a story, but stir a profound emotion that makes them feel as if they are a part of the action by viewing it through my lens.
