Sorry, this has probably been asked may times before but would like to get your input.

Hope you guys post pics or links.. I have an xt w/bg, 100-300, 50mm, 18-50 and 17-70(on the camera full time)...along with extra batteries, cables, charger, memory...that's all I can think of for now. Would like to get a 10-20 in the futher

For the past 10 months or so I've been carrying everying in a Canon backpack and it's getting to the point were I don't even change the lens. Maybe I'll go into it to take out additional memory, the battery last all day.

The only lens I used about 90% of the time is the Sigma 17-70 and will change it often with the 10-20(one day).

Which bag would you guys recommend for just the camera w/bg, 17-70, 10-20 and memory?

I'm looking for something that's very easy to carry around and be able to take out if I need to take a shot quickly. I'm getting tired of carrying the Canon backpack, it gets too heavy and I don't even go in it...just to put away the camera and take it out.

It would be nice if it's weatherproof and maybe waterproof, even if I have to put an exterior bag over it. A couple of weeks ago we were a Disney and it began to gain like cats and dogs the whole night and I was luck to have been carrying a poncho. I don't want to be outdoors and run into a surprise like that and not be ready.

Thanks for listening.... Looking forward to your suggestions...

tamrac expedition 3, I use it for a 300d, 28-135, 18-55, 70-300, 430ex, filters, memory, batteries, pens, remote and even a small tripod on the front, (it's very full though). Still a very compact bag, great for vacations. Last time i was at Disney, I took a Tamrac digital zoom 3, you can carry with a shoulder strap, on the tamrac MAS belt(or any belt) and then add a lens case on the side, very compact!

Hey...I've got the same problems as you have.

You definitely need more than one bag. For hiking, or anytime where you are lugging camera gear to a site...then take photos...then go back to the car again, a backpack is the way to go.

For somewhere like Disneyland or anywhere you will be walking and taking shots as the opportunity arises..then a shoulder bag is the way to go. My Crumpler 7 Million Dollar Home is the one I use the most, but Domke and National Geographic make good shoulder bags.

As for weather proofing, I just put the 7 Mill Home under my rainvest or umbrella, but they stay pretty dry anyway.

You could always have the slingshot. Why do you have an 18-55 (I assume) and 17-70?

Sell the 18-55 and get a Crumpler 5MDH or something from Lowepro for the AW cover. I'd say...hm...Nova 2 should work. I had the 3 and it was quite large. But for that little of gear a Slingshot 100AW would be perfect and it wouldn't get heavy. I carried the same thing in my 100AW only it was a 20D w/ grip and a flash. But since you'll have the extra space you can use it for something else.

I strongly recommend this bag for it's easy use and space as a small bag. Unfortunately I never did a review on it.

Thanks for the input... It's the kit len, I don't use it, just the 17-70. Although sometime I wish I had the ability to zoom in a little more...still working on that part.
Thanks again....
