I shot these last night in Downtown Mcallen Tx. The photos are going to be used for their album cover....I was having a hard time getting both of my 580s to flash, and for some reason, 1 of the flashes kept turning off on its own...So i think for all of these photos, 1 flash was used...suggestions on how to make these better is appreciated..thanks

I really like #5 & #7
#3 the sign EATS being partially covered in the background distracts me.
#4 normally license plate numbers are not shown - maybe photoshop something related to the band into the plate (BCKSHOTS or something like that)
Understand that the flashes weren't working properly and like the overall darkness, but don't think enough contrast in the first couple group shots.

My suggestion is to backlit the subjects more. Not enough seperation between them and the background. Camera angles and poses are good drag the shutter next time to get as much ambient BG light as possible that will assist in the sep.

Get your equipment to do what it should, so you can concentrate on the lighting and images. ;)
The first are too "flat" (lighting almost on camera axis), and shadows sometimes too harsh. You might want to use an umbrella.
I like lighting on #5 best.

be careful of distracting stuff in the background of your images.. you want full attention on your subjects unless the environment helps define the subject...

hahaha...dont know. Rappers love to wear shades for photos. I say 95% of my rapper shots include shades. Even in dark venues you can find them wearing their shades.......

I was kidding ... I know it's "a look" and not nearly so stupid looking as wearing a baseball cap backwards or worse yet off to the side ... or having your pants waist down around your knees! But at that age, it's anything to look "Cool" I guess. Brings to mind something about lemmings. ;)
