Problem with photoshop, BW settings on camera not transfering over.

I took a large series of photos using the camera mode BW, when I try to open them in Brige or CS3, they turn into regular color. When I view them as thumbnails in bridge, it looses the data again (goes back to color)

What's going on?

Note that I took the photos in RAW.....

RAW is raw...no camera settings are applied to a RAW file, so your B&W settings are not used. I believe if you open them in DPP, they should be in B&W as the default since that was the camera settings.
