Can the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 Di XR lens be used on a film SLR as well as a digital?

I will be switching to digital one day but for now I'm exclusively film. The Canon L lens is more then I want to pay. If the Tamron Di XR's can't be used on film then I'll move to a Sigma or other brand lens. I want a much faster normal zoom.

I guess I'm worried Digital intent lenses may produce irregular lighting on the film. I guess these same concerns would hold true for full frame sensor DSLR's as well, right.

Yes...it for sure can be used for film too. In fact, I did the same thing that it sounds like you are doing to. I bought some lens that would work well for digital in the future and then used them on my Elan until I saved up for the 20d. The Tamron was one of these, and the results and great with digital and film.
