Large pro rated backbacks only 5.9-6'' deep

Is it just me or are most backpacks from tamrac and lowepro only 6'' with a few series at 6.5. They say they are rated for proseries camera bodies yet thoise at at about 6.2-6.3'' high.

Backpacks are somewhat flexible. For the 2 or 3 tenths of an inch you're talking about, the material will accommodate.
