Thanks Kaitanium,dj_mkc,FlyingPhotog,VorteC,and PhotosGuy,
I was shooting these shots with a Canon 350D and a Sigma 80-400OS APO DG......but there are better lenses out there for shooting aircraft......the Sigma is a tad slow on the Auto Focus so you have to 'pick' your shots with it rather than just shoot a whole burst of shots.
But the clarity and sharpness is very good......being an f5.6 you do need some light to work with to get the best out of it.
I have always enjoyed watching and photographing the 'Reds' and have built up a nice collection of images of them now......One team I have always wanted to shoot and never had the opportunity is the Blue Angels....such a dynamic demo they put on....maybe one year they will come to the UK and I'll get my chance!:D
Thanks for looking and commenting......Cheers Barry

Two pilots in every plane of a demonstration team? Wild. I wonder why they do that? Very nice pictures by the way.

Excellent pics but the crossover still eludes me - perhaps this year???

The back seater is part of the engineering team that maintain the aircraft between displays. If you look close at the aerial shots, there's only one pilot in each aircraft.

Thanks Guy's......#8 was taken at the seafront airshow at Eastbourne.....the 'Arrows' were able to fly directly towards the crowd before they 'split'...the weather was poor so I was happy to get this shot.
As One Mac say's the reds don't display with a backseater......those guy's were leaving Manston after the display so sometimes one of the ground crew will get a lift!.......better than the mini bus!.......Cheers Bazza
