After a warm engine cooled off with a light snow fall leaves this neat design on the hood that resembles a face sort of.

can you post an under-hood shot? we can maybe figure out what parts were giving off the heat to make it symmetrical like that...

i dont believe it has anything to do with the motor / valve cover.

i think its heat soak through the hood. if you look under most hoods on the hood itself, there are various support welds / beams. which are thicker than the hood itself. hard to explain, go look under a car hood :P

oh yeah!!!! haha i practically live under car hoods (im not a mechanic or anything but im a motor head) and i forgot about the hood skeleton...ive gotten too used to carbon hoods that have little to no skeleton under it...

but yes that all makes sense now that that would be the explanation for the design and symmetry!!!
