I've noticed that the quality of my pics has really been suffering when I resize lately. I've been doing things the same way since I started posting pics on the WWW and everything has been ok up until about 2 weeks ago. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on.

Cheers.........Mick.

EDIT. I think I worked it out. I've replaced the originals with the better quality pics.

#1 is cropped too tight for me, but nice shots overall. They don't look over sharpened, but should look better at 450+KB IMO. The artifacts in the diagonals of the railing just shouldn't be there.

Hooo boy, the picture quality is terrible! Great shots, though.I wasn't aware that G&W had anything down there...

If you resize them in photoshop, you may have "Nearest Neighbour" selected as resampling method. You want either Bicubic or Bicubic Sharpener.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've edited the original pics and they're better quality. I think that it was because I started increasing the DPI to 350 (but I had forgotten). Anyway, its all good now.

Mick.

I'd still like to see that beast in person...that is one impressive looking unit. The shots look good on my monitor....guess you got whatever issue sorted out.
