Upload pictures from PC to Camera on SD870??

I accidently erased some nice pics from the SD870 but I have the pictures on my Computer, I was wondering how I could get those pictures and load them back on my Camera??? Thanks.

Connect the camera, open Canon CameraWindow.

In one version (7.0.xxxxx) there's a an upload icon at the top right showing a computer with an arrow towards the camera, the opposite of the download icon at the bottom of the screen (camera with an arrow towards the computer).

In an earlier version (6.4.xxxxx) you have to click "Set to Camera," then "Uploads images to the camera."

Is there a specific reason why you want to have them back on your camera?

An easy way to do it would be to use a card reader and drag and drop them back onto your card.

You would think so (and I would too) but it just doesn't work - the camera knows the photos are there but won't recognize them unless they've been dragged thru Canon software.

As long as the file name hasn't changed, the image wasn't edited, and they are put into a canon folder it should work. I used to do it.
