I would like to try painting a senic background for my Easter pictures. Nothing fancy- a garden scene. Is there a certain paint that needs to be used so that when the light hits it it will not reflect or shimmer? Does anyone have any suggestions or tips before I get started with this project?

This may not be the right section for this question so feel free to move it. Thanks in advance.

Yes get eggshell finish or the matte finish in wall paint. If you use acrylics made for painting on canvas they have a slight sheen and will reflect some light. So you can usually find the wall paint in pints in order to paint murals. Make sure that they aren't glazes as well, they are very thin and will look streaky on the wall.

I have a degree in Fine Art in painting...I know my paints. :)
