I snapped a couple of shots after finishing a medium format assignment (4x5).

Looks like they turned out well. I like the first the best. The composition is strong here with the two glasses fading into the background. The selective focusing is strong here. I think you colours are perfect too - the golden brown of the cognac is such a pleasant colour to look at (not to mention smell and drink).

I like the second idea, but I think it would have worked better if the whole shadow was included.
