Gear for Strobist type portraits

What other flash/gear would you advise to buy to go with a 580ex to do portraits for on and off the camera lighting, i already have 2 stands and the Canon st2,would another 580ex be enough or too much or would you recommend some other make.

You can get going with as little as one flash off camera. So you are set already.

A reflector made of whatever flat material at hand would also be helpful.

and you don't only have to use canon flashes. Sunpack and Vivatar make great portable and afordable flash heads.
