Can someone give me the skinny on the B/W mode for the 20D? I was playing around with it for the first time today and Im a bit confused. I shot raw and the photo's show up on the LCD in B/W. When I open the files in DPP they all show up in color. If I open them in EOS viewer utility they are in B/W. What gives? Is there a good tutorial for capturing B/W in the 20D out there some where? Thanks for any info.

Hmmm..............so you shoot RAW, meaning you post process your images in a computer..............
Why not skip the middle man and convert all your color pics in your computer....??..........you'll get more versatility and control.
I will never use the B&W mode on my 20D..............but thats just me :-)

.........to answer your question, I don't think you can take B&W images in RAW mode...........RAW means an unprocessed photo straight out of the camera..............hope this helps.

I noticed something similar, here's another thread:

I have since found that the B&W images show up in color in DPP, but in EOS Viewer Utility and Irfanview they show up in B&W.
