I've only had my G9 for a couple of days, but I took the chance to try it out this afternoon.

#1 Shot using the on board flash

#2 No flash and ISO400

#3 Outside at ISO80

All shots were taken in RAW format and developed using the software that came with the camera, my first impression of which is good.

So far, I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Cheers,

Simon.

I think it is. Certainly sounded like a BDA when it was wound up.

The exposure on #2 and #3 is outstanding given the G9's limited dynamic range.....

Thanks CJ! The G9's live histogram is excellent, and something I can see me using all of the time. I wish my mk II had something like that.

Cheers,

Simon.

Also just realized that Pic #2 was using ISO 400. It really looks noise free, WOW, I've never ventured past ISO 200. Did you use additional software to remove the noise?
