I have a mass communications class that I needed to take pictures and do this....
Coat assignment- a PR caption about a coat. Include price, a made up brand name, and target audience.
in order:
-brand name
-price
-target audience
-you
just wondering what one I should use and any CC?

Nice shots. I like the 2nd one better. The 2 different shots of the kid in the 1st one is a little distracting.

Cute kid, but the face looks overexposed to me.

The faces have no warmth. The upper set has the biggest problem. A little warmth is creeping into the face in the second set.
Whether it's color balance or exposure, I don't know - perhaps a little of both.
Otherwise, very nice!

Now we are at a critical juncture. No two monitors will be adjusted exactly the same - so how do you know which one is correct?
That's where the Custom White Balance and the Gray Card come into play.
If you include a gray card and/or a Gretag chart in the scene, that's an even better way to resolve the issue of which system is displaying the colors more faithfully.
My suggestion would be to first set a CWB with a Gray card, because it's simple and is the way to set the WB in the camera with the least amount of subjective bias - in other words, it does not depend upon your vision.
