Dew formation

Should one take dew formation (condensation) seriously for non-1D bodies? I've heard a few scary stories about cruise ship condensations and cold outside to warm inside condensations. Are 1D bodies immune to this? What are steps that can be taken to avoid this problem?

I don't see what sealing would do, if anything, to protect against condensation, but having said that, take the necessary precautions (put camera in airtight plastic bag when going from cold to hot, let the temperatures even out), and even if condensation forms, usually if you let it dry off, all is well again.
