Not sure of the year model. The car was setting in my mechanic's parking lot. I find I'm drawn to old and weathered over new and shinny when it comes to photos. What do you think of the composition and shots in general?

Thanks Howard
What sets it apart from a '56 or a '58 model?

The tail fins, grill and the rocket thingees in the hood are the main things.

composition and shots in general? S'OK. I'd reduce the space between the pics though.

Thanks bad one,
I just Googled some 56' and 58' Chevrolet and ,wow, I never really realized how much they changed the models from year to year back then. It can be nothing but a 57' Chevy.

The good ole' days when the cars changed every model year and you could tell them apart. Nowdays it's so expensive to change even the smallest of details for the sake of change that they don't bother until it's time for a major redesign.

Additionally, up until the late 60's, I think it was, you could look on any taillight lens and the year was molded in. Kinda like Coke bottles of the same era, which had the bottling city molded in the base of the bottle.

55-57 shared common elements and design. In other words, if you removed the front fenders and rear quarters, they'd be about the same, roughly.
58-61, maybe even later, or so were pretty much the same chassis. 58 was a major design change, went to an "X" frame and coil springs in rear. 55-7 had rear leaf springs and rectangular frame.
After I got tired of breaking Chivvy drivetrains, I finally went Mopar
