Try contacting photobucket by email if you object to the use without permission and no attribution.

I wonder if they are his tattoos or did he steal them too?

That's too bad that the person did that. On the other hand, if that is an actual band's CD cover, it may be worthwhile to check it out. A quick letter might yield some payment or scare them from using it.

annoying but I don't think you are going to get any payment, pretty sure there is no such band, just a cover idea. Shame its not a Radiohead CD!!

This does beg the question just how many shots are being used by unauthorised people. The larger you upload shots the more people will steal them I guess. Not sure how you should proceed with enquiries though. Certainly contact photobucket first.

I've had several shots removed from galleries by contacting the gallery rather than the photographer- the photographers tend to ignore you.
Having said that it's a fine line between free advertising (if the photo is correctly attributed) and "theft" because in both cases the photo is used without permission. Think in some of these cases you have to accept it is inevitable if you put your photos on the web - I only get annoyed if someone is apparently claiming my photos as their's.

There has been a lot of complaints on deviantART.com about this image stealing recently. Becoming quite common. Don't let them get away with it.

I can see why some people do it as we make it so easy upping photos, keeping them at 800 max at least it stops people blowing them up and selling them. Any use without permission is stealing but it's not only photos with the problem, look at the music industry, mp3 files gave them a right headache. I guess like you say if you put work on the net then you can expect it to be used without permission so I think copyright marking or using smaller images is the only way to go. I would rather use smaller images as marking just spoils the image. Maybe a law stating the use of images under a certain size for internet use (not advertising just education non commercial) with credit to copyright holder is fine as long as owner is informed of such use. MJ's image is blatantly being used as advertising to me.

Think you are correct- the only protection you have is the size you upoad them at - I don't like defacing them with a copyright logo as that is a bit like shooting yourself in the foot. My only real gripe comes when someone is trying to "profit" from stealing someone else's photos - either financially or in "prestige".
I generally find most people are pretty reasonable about these things and ask permission to use photos - even when they are web sized. I generally allow it but if there is a commercial interest I will always ask for a fee (unless it is charitable).
I don't think there is any point in chasing people blogging your photos for example- I look on this as free advertising and they are normally linked or attributed.

^^ That's a lot of words, but not much you actually have to do. ~5min if that. I'd think it'd be worth the time to teach someone they won't always get away with their snatching, but since it's your photo it's all you.

Just FYI
POTN does not function this way, the sub forums do not belong to any particular group. The sub forums are broken up via Image sharing subject matter and discussion topics.
It's very bad that someone stole your images. I hope it gets worked out to your satisfaction.
Were it my place to give advice, I'd suggest completing Photobucket's form. Of course they can not react to every claim with no background to back up the action they will take. We've seen cases like this on the forum before, I do not recall if Photobucket was involved, but other sharing sites for sure and with proof provided they have indeed stepped in a removed the images and in fact removed the account involved as well.
As forum Admin, i can tell you if faced with the same issue here @ POTN (it does happen) we need to establish the ownership as well.
Again in the past this has also resulted in the removal of the offenders account. The point being, we'd not take removing an account lightly, so we need to see the burden of proof met.
