Purchasing photographic gears are not reasonable except they can help you to earn money :P

Primevci -

I have the 100/400L IS USM. I have been shooting for about 40+ years and learned the hard way that good glass makes all the difference. The way digitals are going, you will probably change up bodies in a year or two.
The glass stays with you. Canon has put a fine lens together in the 100/400. I use it for wildlife/zoo/horse shows/car races.
The push/pull takes a little getting used to, I happen to like it a lot.

I also have a Canon IS USM 28/135 which is my most used.

Then the 50mm f1.8

Now I have the whole spectrum covered and am very satisfied with my choices.

Believe me when I tell you, its NOT all about the gear !!

I understand its not all about gear u half to be able to see something good but im plague with seign something good getting apicture and turns out fuzzy cause of my no so good 75-300mm USM III lens i half to shoot this at f/11 for any half way decent results....plus i herd allot of people use the 100 400mm l for wildlife and i pretty sure thats what i want to do, but its liek those mars pictures its a 1 megapixel camera with a $20,000 lens on it hehe but yea it would be nice to get sharp pictures...

Yes it sounds like a very sensible path to follow :)

You allready have a decent camera.Sure, it's not as fast as the 20D but very close in image quality

On the other hand the 100-400 is a BIG step up from the 75-300 :D :D
And the wide L lens will be much better than the 18-55 kit zoom

Yeah, definitely get the good lenses first 8)
