I replied to my 6 day old thread, and it is still on page 9. How can you get it to the top of page one? Relist it?

If you read the rules (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/rules.php), you will see that bumping is not allowed in any sub-forum here at POTN, and that includes the Marketplace. As for relisting, I believe that the rule of thumb is that one is only allowed to relist an item after the original thread has passed one month old, but I would check with a mod just to be sure.

The default sorting for all MarketPlace forums except for MarketWatch is by thread start. While you can choose to sort by last post it reverts to the default setting when you reload the page.

I recently came across this as well. Skip was very helpful in answering questions and offering help.
Perhaps a more adroit method would be to have the marketplace threads sort themselves by thread start as well as removing locked threads from the sort queue.

That sounds like a good idea. After all, once someone's item has sold the thread is really no longer serving a purpose.

Except it serves to help people see the going rate for a particular item.

Not really. As most of the time buyers haggle thr price lower then listed or the seller remooves prices.

Which is a BAD idea and I don't understand why sellers remove the price after it has been sold in my opinion there is absolutely no reason for doing that. Thats one of the reasons we wanted to make the threads non-editable to prevent that.
