Not sure if this is the right place or if I'd be better off over in the Nature forum.
It's been a lousy weekend and I haven't been able to get out and shoot at all. So this morning while at the grocery store I decided to be a good husband and buy my wife some flowers. ;)
So anyway once I got them home I figured what the heck, I might as well photograph them while I had the chance. :D
All images made with my Rebel XT and Sigma 70mm f/2.8 Macro with the Canon 430 EX Flash and Sto-Fen Diffuser tripod-mounted.
Please let me know what you think. I am new to this close-up/macro photography.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I overthought my lens purchase decision but I am very happy with the Sigma 70mm lens. I can't wait to get out and shoot some wildflowers once there are wildflowers to shoot!

Thanks Mike. I too am very happy with the Sigma 70mm. Very sharp. Can't wait to get out in the natural world with it. I love wildflowers so they should keep me busy from Spring through Fall. It will be a fun supplement to the birds that I normally am in search of.

Thanks. Macro certainly does open up a new world for image-making.
