M mode or AV mode

hi people's...im going to shot a ballroom dancers,20D 24-105 430ex my basic gears.in what mode is better to shot in Mmode or AVmode?

Since you're using a flash, and I'm going to assume for main light, I'd shoot M. Without the flash, I'd still shoot M.

Why?

The lighting, I'm assuming, won't change drastically. Thus, you can use the same shutter/aperture/ISO combo to expose correctly anywhere. Av would probably change the exposure settings depending where you were and wouldn't expose correctly everywhere.

Stick with M, especially if using a flash for main light.
