First let me say thanks. I have a 78 year old uncle that wants to buy a digital camera. 45 years ago he knew everything there was to know about photo stuff but over the year has gotten away from it. Now all of a sudden he "needs" a small digital poing & shoot type camera. I use a 20 D and that is way too much for him to start to try to understand. He is in town right now (as I type this), 35 miles down the road, and he wants to know what he should look at. I have suggested the Canon A75, as he wants to keep the price under $300.00 He has an OLD laptop and a new HP all in one printer that accepts photo memory cards ( I think it is a 5 - 1 reader). Am I steering him in the right direction?

I think so.

I recomend the A80 all the time. it is a great little camera that does a lot. If memory serves.. the A75 is nearly Identical.. at 3 MP vs. 4.
