Hi everyone,

I use photoshop cs3 and I just did my first paid event and i want to proof all my pictures. what I was going to do is open every picture up and copy and paste my text on the photo and make it transparent... but this can take a while since i have many photos of this event. Is there a faster way in ps cs3? I'm sure there is with another program but i rather learn how with cs3... something where i can pick the folder and it does it and saves it to another location. or something in that route which is faster then doing it manually to every picture... thank you

you need to make an action. That way you would simply push f9 or any choosen f key and it would automate the watermark. Then if you just need to add a watermark you can use the same action but go to file-automate-batch and that way it will apply the watermark to all your photos in one click

Watch this tutorial by Russell Brown (http://av.adobe.com/russellbrown/BrandingSM.mov). This is a very effective way of watermarking and it will handle either portrait or landscape orientation. Once you have the action built you can just select the images that you want to watermark in bridge and then run them through the image processor. If you want Russell Brown also has an image processor that you can install that has a couple of more options than the built in one to photoshop.

It took me a few attempts at building my action using this method but now I have several for different purposes. Works like a charm.

This is one of the more frequent questions on here and there are plenty of threads covering other methods as well.
