I have had the problem with two cards in a row. When inserting them in the camera I get "There is a problem with the CF card. Replace the CF card." I returned the first one and the dealer said they tested it, no problem, but exchanged it with a new one. This one does the same thing. I have another card, same manufacturer and type of card, no problem. I tried to format these cards but the camera locks up during format. Any ideas?

Camera is an XTi 400, the card is a Qmemory 4 gig, 150 express turbo.

Thanks for any ideas. :(

I've searched this forum, and it looks like the cards should work out of the box, the other one did. Any other ideas besides formatting issues?

Qmemory? Never heard of it. Try a real brand. Sandisk, Kingston, Lexar, RiDATA, Transcend...

Have you tried other cards besides these? It sounds like there is a problem with the camera or at least this brand/model card doesn't like your camera for some reason..

Good Luck
