Ok, so the code is wrong, or the image names are wrong. I think you may have something cached locally, as mentioned previously, which is making it appear to work locally.
BTW, the link to the Staff page is broken too.
BTWBTW, someone who knows what they're doing in CSS/html will be able to fix the entire site up for you in under 30 mins...

tony look at the differences between the image code for the 'about' button on the homepage, and on the about page
<img src="buttons/About%20Us.htm_cmp_BlueCalm000_hbtn_p.gif" working button
<img src="buttons/About%20Us.htm_cmp_BlueCalm000_hbtn.gif" not working button
because im getting 1 button on each page (aside from the home button), corresponding to the actual page name
(man, ive never seen such mental long names for an about us button)

tbh, with that very low level of structure and formatting, i would simply rebuild the whole thing from scratch in DW.. would take far less time than trawling through trying to hunt down problems, and you would be assured that the code was clean and bug-free
you could copy & paste all the text in minutes, rename the images to something coherent and quickly drag them all in

Looks slightly fixed tony - however some buttons disappear after you click on them... go through and click each link and you'll see what I mean...
The website is obviously an image of the school and if that's how they want it - then so be it... dont waste too much time trying to improve it if you're not getting anything out of it. If they dont want to pay to have a professional site - then that's the choice they make.

If I'd have known what i know now - I probably would have been a lot more directive and selective about choosing a photographer. Ours was good at the time - but looking back she missed a lot of shots that we take as run of the mill now which is a bit disappointing... the flipside of that is - its helped us with regard to what we provide... I now also know of others who I would happily trust with my wedding photos :) So long as you sit down at the start and clearly define what you want and what sort of style you want you shouldn't be disappointed :) (something we didnt really do - the only thing important to us was the digital files).

Well its not about comparing it to urban work. This is a whole different area, ball game. The reason why im proud of this shot is because I could control the lighting. I think I have exposed it correctly. If I under exposed it I would get a black mountain, If i over exposed it I would get a overly blown out scene. But I think I got it right. hmm, but then again everyone has got a different definition and idea of how they would have done the shot.

hehe cheers Tony. This is the true story, I wrote your instructions down on a letter. But me being a silly boy I forgot to bring any form of footwear, such as jandles and those damn instructions. So we ended up trying to remember your instructions. I just remembered bridge and walk up road then a pathway. lol. So we went down this main path where everyone was going down. And then I just looked in the bush to my right and decided to just cut straight in the bush and follow the river. So we climb up this massive cliff.
Amy gets her toe cut :p. Slipping over and falling all over the show :) but we end up at this mean pool. And apparently you can get there off the road. But we walked all the way up this and went the hard way :)

that pool is chest-deep (on a shorter person) like a little spa
thing about karekare is, theres 2 bridges... one on lone kauri rd (which you went over) and one on the other road (which you prolly drove down)
which one did tony mean?
also the way you went, you turned off before karekare's most well known tall waterfall... if you had followed all the other people you would have seen it. there's ways to climb around the back of the picnic area to get to the top of that one too.

Matt that is the main 1. There are 5 bigish waterfalls in the area I have 1 to go and 1 thats so far in the bush that its not worth it.
Matt the only way to the top is if you walk up the track, down the stream, absail down a waterfall into a pool with big karui log stuck in it.
There is a man made concrete structure at the top. My guess was for daming

i know some really cool climbable riverbed tracks up the pararaha valley, basically you go to karekare at LOW tide, walk out to the beach, turn south, go over the rocks and follow the coast along til you get to the next river feeding into the sea
then you follow that stream to the swamp & up into the hills. lots of swimming holes where the stream meets the beach and a huge dune there too. then there are tracks up into the pararaha valley (plus loo), but once past that you have to follow the riverbed itself and climb the falls in various places. there's a HUGE kauri log jam partway up, its really cool, and heaps of ledges, pools and shallow cliffs.
i've been several hours up that way (it's slow going) and got nowhere near the top, but it's really beautiful and untouched. probably not a trip for the very unfit or under 10's - but we used to go on school camps out there and did ok. further up the course, the track becomes much harder and only suitable for experienced hikers/free-climbers
in general prolly safer to go when the rivers are a bit low, can be a lot of water coming down thru there at times

Hey all,
I have a photoshoot this friday night in a dingy dark bar where my mates metal band is playing and I am going along to get some more promo shots, Live ones this time. Because of the crowd that will be there I am going to travel light, will be 40D, 17 - 85 and 550ex and thats it (spare Cf and battery of course)
Now, any hints, tips or advice for this kind of shoot - I suspect its going to be really challenging. Whats more is they will be going on at 11:30sharp, and I will be arriving at 11:25 if i am lucky as its after work and I finish at 11pm so am not going to have even 2 mins to suss out the place LOL I just hope I can get there before they actually start.
I will be fighting against a tight stage, strobelights, downlights and spots, usual live gig setup. Plus a youthful angry crowd LOL
So apart from DON'T GO! are there any words of wisdom? :)

Shoot manual, use flash to freeze subjects. Shutter speed 0.5 - 5 seconds. Don't be afraid to move the camera about with the shutter open to get some cool lighting effects.

As said above - shoot manual and your flash will compensate to get the band members, while a slightly slower shutter speed like 1/100 will let in the ambient lights :)
