Photoshop CS3 Image Resize Question??!!

I need to take a whole folder of JPEG images and converted them to 1280x???. I need the longest side to be 1280 pixels. I'm not sure how to do this as a batch. When I do it it makes my landscape pictures 1280 pixel on the short side.

Can anyone help me with this??

Create an action and record the following:

File > Automate > Fit Image

Enter in the constraints and that's it.

You know how to use the batch feature...right?

Resize to fit and fill in both Height and Width with 1280
