We got hit here in Farmington, MO with a huge Ice storm. It looked like snow as it was falling but it was solid ice.
They were calling for up to a half inch of ice, not sure how much is out there because after it "Rained" Ice, it snowed a few inches Also!! I closed my shop early and drove home in this junk.....What usually takes 10 minutes to about an hour with all the other bozo's on the road! People off in ditches and parked on the side of the road, one Dodge Durango was flipped on its roof....
My plane to Mexico leaves Wednesday morning at 6:30a.m. so I'm just glad this happened Todat instead of 2 days from now....Planes + Ice = Not good!

Reeforbust,
Luckily you had no problems, sometimes those ice storms can cause a lot of problems and damage.
It looks like it going to hit my area Tuesday night, at least they are claiming it might go to full rain (which is weird seeing we had a high of 14f today).

Yeah, back in 06 we got hit with a Massive Ice storm and were without power for a week.....Had to live with the in-laws:confused: I think something like 600,000 people were without power in Missouri with that storm.

I think we have all seen enough ice for this year, I cant wait until summer gets here so we can bitch about the heat:)

We had the same in Kansas. Woke up to everything looking like it was covered with snow, but it was all a mass of ice pellets (hail if you wanna call it that.) I even heard thunder during the storm last night, and that's rare to hear during the winter. At least it was almost all melted by noon.

Looks like it missed us this time.
We had one this last December. No electric for almost 2 weeks. Hope it doesn't get that bad for you .

I will be happy with spring :)
Now they are saying 8-10" of snow then changing to ice.... Times like this I am glad I heat my home without the need for electric :)

We heat with propane and wood. The price of propane is a killer this year !

Here we go again and this time my son is on the road with his family trying to visit me before he goes back overseas.
I'm getting awfully tired of winter ice storms.
Why couldn't this be SNOW?
