I'm not about to pass up a butterfly shot.

Especially not in the wild.

And this is the first Monarch I've ever gotten.

Shooting a Crow has been on my list for a long time since it's such a difficult shot.

But not this one.

He hopped up on a post at the Hawk Watch platform, and stayed for a bit. I had to back up to the edge of the platform to get this - he was close.

And then he just swung his head, and *caught* the light like a SuperModel.

And, to boot, I just *love* this background.

Stupid little Crow shot and it takes my breath away. A Crow. Go figure.

Wow-wow-wow! These are two really stunning shots! The butterfly is just beautiful. And the crow, well, fantastic exposure & detail.

Scott, I must say, that butterfly shot must be the best one yet. It's very beautiful. Great shot!

they are great shots

the colours of the butterfly and the flower go beautifully together also
as well as it being such a good shot

and I love that crow
I see so many every evening out on the plains
but there is a certain mr and mrs crow who seem to be always walking around pecking at the grass
they never go with the rest of the 'gang'

so it's lovely to see this close up of 'one of them'
