How much contrast do you usually apply to RAW files in Lightroom? Say for general events with people and portraits.The range is too wide. It depends a lot on the ambient light available in the situation. Some room is more well lit than another room. Or, an outdoor group photo on a cloudy day has less contrast than on a sunny day.
So, adjust the contrast until you feel right. If doubt, ask other people for opinion. ;)
