Bad copy. Seems half of them are soft at f/1.4 to f/1.8. Check the archive for this lens, you'll see what I mean. Been to Canon and back and they say it checked out, but still not good.

85mm 1.8 last week. I'd already rented one a few months ago so I knew what I was in for. No regrets, it's a fantastic lens for low light sports and quite nice for portraits and such too. Very sharp.

Y'all making me sick. Every time I broach the subject with Mrs Thumper, I get "You've spent enough ******* money on that camera". Still, just sold a print. When she discovers I can actually make money at this game....:-) Don't let her discover what your equipment costs... A trickle of sales can't pay for much. :-)

I like it way more than I thought I would. It got a bad review from Photozone, but I think they may have amended it. At any rate, mine has been super sharp and quite nice to use.

A lot of times the answer is yes if I can get a good enough deal. Then begins the shopping!
