some shots from the 2nd of 3 shows Shakey did on his recent swing through boston. we could only shoot the first two songs from the soundboard/back row of the front section, and the balcony, and since i wasn't aware of this beforehand i left my 1.4TC at home. the lighting was difficult to work with in general. a slight bummer but anyway, it was an outstanding show. here's my review of the show (http://www.bigtakeover.com/reviews/neil-young-with-pegi-young-the-orpheum-boston-monday-december-3-2007)

Nice shots and nice review...must have been a memorable evening. His late career has really been pretty impressive.

btw, totally unrelated comment...I guess Tiger Saw (of Kimchee) is staying at my house tomorrow. I wondered why that name sounded familiar...then I realized were from your neck of the woods and had crossed paths with your lens.

Nice work! 5, 6, 7 are my favorites. 7 especially if you crop, stamp or smudge out that mic above him.

it's paint. during the show, there was a guy painting behind Molina's drumkit during each song, and bringing the canvas to the edge of the stage.

superior captures narlus. 5-6-7 all do it for me, but they are all great.

Thank you for these.. Neil Young an American [Canadian] Icon. Amazing to be still preforming after all of the health problems over the past few years. Gotta Love the Man

they were all meant to signal/represent the next song in the setlist. some had already been in creation, and were finished; others were done during the duration of the previous song. i assume the paintings were loaded up w/ the rest of gear; they didn't toss 'em out to the crowd like setlists :D

i liked #11 quite a bit too, not sure why i didn't include it. ben rosas, lady killer.
