I finally got around to finishing up some photos from my trip to the DR this summer. The group I was with did relief work in a small village for a few weeks, and I was able to get some decent shots.

CC welcome and appreciated!

1. A local boy looking into the window of the school house as we were repainting/repairing it.

2. The children playing a game in which they try to grab a rag in the center of the room and make it back to their wall before a player of the other team touches them. Phonetically, it's called "Pan wello" probably panuello or something, my Spanish is mui horrible, lol.

3. A monument inside of a chapel in Santo Domingo. It has a never ending flame burning and a guard on watch 24/7.

4. I was amazed to see how the children in the town got home. No school bus for them, just a packed ride on the back of a 100cc motor-bike! See if you can count how many children the father has on the bike with him. Now count how many helmets there are.

5. A lonely looking girl on the swing outside of the schoolhouse. Nice shirt eh? LoL - it was a donation.

6. A beautiful Dominican sunset to leave you with! :D

Haha, thanks guys!

wow Drshottest - what part are you from? I made my way around most of the Dominican side of Hispaniola, and spent a ton of time in La Mina and Cabarete.

I'll see what other pictures were keepers - I really wish I had more opportunity to shoot. Our trip was half relief work, half cruising around the country having fun. For the adventure tour part of the trip, most situations were too dangerous to bring my camera; white water rafting, cliff jumping, horseback riding in the jungles, rappelling. So sad that all these memories that I really want to capture are the ones I don't have shots of!

Awesome photos, Brandon. You have a good eye. I like them all! And it's great to see kids playing actual games instead of video games. Kudos to you for doing relief work, and taking great photos while you're at it.
