I had a suspicion that some photos were taking differently but I wouldn't have guessed with a different brand of camera.

i personally dig vertical shots, so that 5th one is good composition. lighting is decent, though a tad harsh, was this almost midday?

They are good. The reflections are pretty busy on some of the closer shots though.
