Micro SD card?

Does anyone know what a micro SD card is, and how it differs from a regular SD card?

lol they are microsized! most come with adapter though and usally go into phones

are they ok in cameras- like a 5 MP p&s, with the adapter? How about as memory for a digital photo frame?

Don't know what sort of speed they are rated at - I have one in my phone and it slots into an adaptor to enable me to put it in my card reader.

You'll just have to worry about it's speed rating as mentioned. With an adapter they will 'work' though.

I don't know if whether or not it will actually cut down on the rated speed since the adapter is just for form factor rather than a conversion adapter per se, a la SD to CF.

I've got a 2GB for my phone, I wouldn't worry about SMALL pictures, throw them all on there. I've got several 30D shots being displayed on my phone at 240 x 360 or so. Kinda overkill, but I was in too much of a hurry to resize them.

Just for comparison..
We all know CF, To the right is a standard SD card.
On the far left is mini SD
Next to the CF card is MICRO SD
You could stick a stamp on one of these and mail it on a postcard like the old spy movies...
