Okay, this isn't a winter vs. summer thing. My trusty G7 has "frozen up" on me. Once or twice last week, it would just lock up. No response to any button. Popped the battery out and back in and it worked again.
Now it has locked up again. Lens is half extended, lens protective cover retracted so lens is exposed, and it won't respond to any prodding on my part. Not even asking it nicely. (it's probably mad at me for yelling at it first, but that's another story)
Battery is fully charged, so that isn't the issue, and the batter contacts appear to be fine. Any suggestions short of returning to Canon appreciated. If I can't make it work myself, I will return it for repair, just wanted to see if I was missing anything.
