310 hack - E3kr111M.rar/E3kr111B71.rar - HELP

Hi,

I have spent about 2 hours trying to install the 310 hack as I need FEC and MLU. I have done all the research and used the search function etc, and even managed to install a version of firmware downloaded from here:
http://satinfo.narod.ru/en/download.html

however, it either brings back extraction problems, or if it does unzip, I end up with the old version E3kr111M.rar, which appears to have no effect on my camera.

can anybody send me the correct firmware, or point out whatever mistake im making?

The .rar file is like a zip file but winzip won't extract it. You have to get the rar extractor or find the zip version of the file. Do a google on E3kr111B71 and the first site that comes up has a zip of the .fir file you use to install the hack.

You need to unzip the .rar file with Winrar, which can be found at www.winrar.com or go to www.download.com and search for winrar. Extract it. There will be a file there you need to put on your CF card. Upload it to your CF card via card reader, and then put the card in your camera and turn it on.
Make sure your battery is fully charged.

I have winrar already, that's not the issue, sorry.
I also know how to install the hack, and have done with the file I took from that site, but I think its an old version.
Somebody has PM'ed me and kindly agreed to send me the hack, so I will try that now. I think that will solve it.
