About 6 months ago I posted a thread complaining because I wanted to use High-Speed-Sync, wireless. Nothing could do it except the canon ST-E2, but even then you had to be in a line of sight for it to work. Now it looks like a company just invented one that can do high speed sync VIA radio along with the other usual TTL things. Pretty cool. It probably doesn't matter for a lot of people, but it could come in handy to some sport photographers and such.

There are some threads going on about this...but research carefully as I've read you can't get HSS with the 580EX I. The 550EX and 580EX II, you apparently can though. Something to do with the way the 580ex I is physically designed or something... just a FWIW...

Do you already have an ST-E2 or flash that can serve as a master flash? In other words, can you do wireless HSS now? If not, the Radio Popper is not going to do you any good.

Which is the down side to these if you don't have the ST-E2 and want to use these without a master flash set on camera.

What's the price on these at anyways?
