Friend of mine is looking for a good digital camera. Recommended the S5, but I'm not so familiar with advanced point and shoot cameras.

Can this camera shoot small JPEG files and how many would fit on, let's say, a 4GB SD card?

I have an S5 and I love it..I have a 2gb sd card and I can fit the highest quality photos and I can put around 775 photos on my 2gb. So I would say about 1500...Is that enough?:)

I have s5is, 4gb sd.
currently about 90 "Large" photo's on it and says:

L (3264x2448) - 1051 photo's
M1 (2592x1944) - 1433 photo's
M2 (2048x1536) - 2204 photo's
M3 (1600x1200) - 3474 photo's
S (640x480) - 9999 photo's - I'm assuming it'll do more, just 9999 is probably the software limit.
W (3264x1832) - 1381 photo's

Give or take 90...
